Just wondering what would cause my pain with this car

It's a ba just clicked 100,000ks drove sweet with 240rwk the whole time I've had it, took it in to a mechanic for valve springs and sct tuner.. that was on October 1st, I still don't have my car back today, the bloke who was doing the valve springs didn't actually no what he was doing.. So I took it off his hands and gave it to some better suited people to work on and they still can't get it to run! It starts fine when it's cold, drives around as happy as right up until its at operating temp. At this point it become an absolute dog, it won't idle at lights nor hot boost until 3500rpm. Any lower than that and your mums Camry would be faster, to use the term lag monster would be an understatement for this thing.. It's bad.

I know the motor is tired, it has very low oil pressure (without thick oil it won't supply the turbo with even a drop). So my mechanic and I are deffs thinking the oil pump gears are giving up. But that doesn't explain why it won't idle, on the sct it's throwing heaps of different codes b1 b2 over retarded.. Sometimes it says b2 advanced. We have checked everything, the timing is spot on, cam shafts sitting correctly.. I've replaced all the sensors checked the ecu wiring everything I can think of, but still we can't make it boost at lower that 3500 and can't make it idle, I've tried to put as much detail in on this issue as I can, ask questions to help me find an answer? I'm sure I can answer them.. Who knows?

you need to take your car to somebody that is familiar with these cars, but sometimes things like this can be very time consuming to get to the bottom of it

Still stock cams?

Done compression/leak down test?

Have you data logged with the xcal to monitor the car while it runs?

Has the tune changed since the valve springs were installed?

Remember aswell that the VCT on these cars runs off oil pressure. Once the car is warm, your oil pressure is lower. If its too low the cams will fail to advance or retard properly. Causing faults.
