KrasH Bloody Orange Team (BOT) Legacy Donating Member 872 Member For: 23y 3m Gender: Male Location: Canberra, Australia Posted 02/01/04 11:16 PM Posted 02/01/04 11:16 PM I know this has been discussed on the forums before, but I'd be buggered if I could find the posts.Anyways, My T has gone over the 10,000km mark (now at about 11,100) and I don't know if it is just me, but the T seems to be less "restrictive" when at full throttle. I swear that before the 10,000, at full throttle, you could feel that the computer was holding the engine back, hard feeling to describe, but it was sort of a faint pulsing?. But now, I don't get this sensation at all.. seems to flow more smoothly and rev more freely. Am I wrong or just delussional? Or is it just that the motor and mechanicals of the car have settled into their groove right about now?

Petrol is seasonal & is changed in its formula depending on the month of year.Scotty

I think that's because they get the opportunity to give it a good thrashing on the road test which resets the adaptive shift calibrations.
FORDTECH Member 383 Member For: 23y 3m 22d Location: On the edge Posted 04/01/04 08:35 AM Posted 04/01/04 08:35 AM Well I must say I havent had such a good laugh in a long time.I dont know who the GT owner was but im afraid he/she has been extremely missinformed.The PCM in these vehicles doesnt care if it has done 10km or 10,000km and there is no hidden agenda programmed into them for such a thing.They do however adapt themselves to your driving style.It sounds to me that your car is getting use to your driving style.Enjoy.
