ok so after a few days ringing around trying to find a typhoon lower air box,some wreckers quoted me $400 for the complete box,lol

I decided to go down to bunnings with my lower half box and have a mosey around

this is what happened after 1hrs shopping and 1hr finished product, (sorry for the large pics).

took it for a spin and really noticeable little growl up in the rev range and it seems to have a little more steering wheel horsepower,lol

should notice it more when my k&n finally gets here. cheers

How resistant to buckling is that foil tubing? Would be my only concern, otherwise nice work!

The rings in the alloy ducting are made of metal so they dont squash under suction if that was your concern?

I've had my 180-200mm ducting on for a few months now without a problem and I have squashed mine into an oval shape to fit it in the front and under the headlight.
