So if I ask for a tune of about 330 kw or so it should be good for a dailey tune just untill I save up for a malwood option 3 once I get that then switch to the 350kw tune For powercruise and it should be pretty reliable u think ? I'm not a loose driver lol although I do love baking 3rd on the highway (my old bf was good for that untill the zf went ) Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81296-piece-of-mind/page/4/#findComment-1275538 Share on other sites

At low pressure ratios, all you do is loose bottom end grunt and gain nothing at the top end. A plenum set-up would have netted you better gains over the turbo. Keep it at around 330kw and 15psi and it should be ok..... I'm hoping the screamer will sound good at 15 or so psi lol I'd be happy with 330 kw for the time being don't wana push my Ba engine too hard untill I can afford a atomic engine just Incase haha appreciate your info toads Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81296-piece-of-mind/page/4/#findComment-1275658 Share on other sites

He should have a knock kit that he uses to listen for knock, and he will know when the clutch starts slipping etc etc. It's all good to have 400 fly wheel kilowatts, but then the poor stock driveline has to transfer that to the ground. Build to purpose, or tune to build.I would say anywhere from 300rwkw to 350rwkw should be attainable with the mods you have given, depending on what the clutch does and how well the intercooler holds up from heat soak. Yeah il tell him to aim for about 300 street tune and maybe 350 for a bit more aggressive tune .. Guess il have to wait and see how my clutch goes and save for a new clutch and cooler set up in the time being ! Can't wait.. It will be a huge difference .. ATM its all stock except for the cooler and running 5 psi so 300 will feel great and when I have got the money for a new cooler and clutch and maybe plenum crank it up a bit yew Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81296-piece-of-mind/page/4/#findComment-1275685 Share on other sites

Don't want the screamer coming on real early in the piece lol oly when I'm giving it a flogging ? Was thinking 14 but not sure if the screamer would sound good where as 18 or so would be a bit better ?
