New Chmsl After Removing Spoiler

Featured Replies

Dooodes,

Want to remove my spoiler, but need to replace the centre high mounted stop light (CHMSL). I need to do it as I don't need the cripple kickers hassling me about it, as the car is known well enough in my town already.

Anyone done it or got suggestions, as I want it to still look smick.

I was wondering the same thing. Removed my spoiler a few weeks ago, had no CHMSL so decided it best to put spoiler back on. That and I was annoyed with the tape over the holes and the marks the spoiler left on the boot (person before me had removed spoiler and taped holes, then put spoiler back on when selling the car to the dealer but didn't tighten the nuts so the spoiler was vibrating and scratched the boot paint)

Get a DJR spoiler copy off ebay, they cover all the holes, fitted perfectly and colour match was spot on.

Oh, and they look tough.

YOu can also take the rear parcel shelf and brake light out of an XT or any other falcon that did not come with a rear spoiler

...or an early XR, they still had the fitting without a bulb didn't they?

#6

Pretty sure the bulge was there, but no cut out for the light - a Fairmont Ghia would be the perfect car to take the parcel shelf from since they had the premium sound centre sub cut out and the brake light.

My BA Turbo has the cutout in it and only needed a bulb to work!

Don't think my BF2 has it lol. Ghey
