Changed Oil Now Oil Light Comes On

Hi all, I changed my oil in my bfgf mkII ute on the weekend, since then on cold start tge oil light comes on for a second or so . What could be the problem, over fill or a leak?

easy to check if it's under/overfull or leaking.

What oil came out?

what oil went in?

How much oil went in?

Put in about 6.5 liters of penrite oil and a new oil filter, seems to be a slight leak around that

Make sure the old filters rubber gasket came off with it

Just check the old rubber is off I put in penrite HPR 5 5w-40,and notice a slght leak near the new oil filter how do I stop the leak or fix it?

I would remove the filter! Catch the oil. Inspect the filter if all good reinstall or replace the filter.

Did you put some oil on the new filters seal? Is it on tight?

What brand filter was it?

So its noticeably longer to build pressure than before you did the change, our had you not taken notice?

Its a repco filter, I had put some old oil on the seal and its done up hand tight

The oil light will be on for a moment during startup.
