June 3, 201214 yr #1 Hi guysLast night my gf hit a huge kangaroo into my FG F6.. Front bumper is ruined along with mesh, and the bar that goes across (radiator bar??) has been torn .. The plastic at the front of the engine bay is ruined too.. But the air inlet is still connected and looks ok luckily . There is no mechanical damage. The bonnet is crumpled a bit over where the inlet is.. Still looks like a bit of space between the inlet and bonnet but I'm worried about stopping the air flow? Does it need a direct avenue to air ? I need to drive it around for insurance quotes that's why I ask.We drove it the remaining 150kms without any leaks or increases in temps. It makes a very slight whistle at higher speeds but seems like that is just due to the new shape of the front leftAny advice would be appreciated can I still drive it for a few days ??
June 3, 201214 yr #2 sorry to hear the bad news, assuming you have air flow to the radiator and water lines are not damaged, squeezed, etc you should be ok, drive it easy though until you can check things 100%
June 3, 201214 yr #3 I would check that the bonnet is still securely latched. Wouldnt want that coming open at speed.
June 3, 201214 yr #5 Sorry to hear this.I feel for you.I had a perfect BMW 528i that was driven by men only for its first 12 years of its life and had a perfect body, not one dent. Within 6 months of letting females drive it, one female hit a roo, a second backed into it with another 528i and a third female with no license pulled out in front of it and caused another accident. So I learnt long ago just dont let girls near nice cars. I am just sick of fixing up stuff caused by girls being girls. Makeup on black interiors is another pet hate. I know it was a roo and may have popped out of nowhere so maybe not your girlfriends fault. But thought I just make a point that many probably know anyway
