Once car is warm, it disappears. I researched this and thought it was loose bolts on the turbo- checked but found nothing. Was hopin some one could describe which bolts they are, or if that even is the problem.I am also havin a boost problem. Turbo is going, but not getting the power I thought I would. MY ROD GOT OUT Member 434 Member For: 14y 10m 14d Posted 26/05/12 10:10 PM Share Posted 26/05/12 10:10 PM Pull intake off turbo, spin turbine with fingers and see if it is touching anywhere, also shouldn't have much movement up/down etc. if its touching or moving excessively its stuffed, if not continue on looking for boost leaks in intercooler piping etc. Have u taken filter out of turbo oil line? Noise could be coming from lack of oil to turbo. Doesn't do it constantly only when warming up. Also checked for boost leaks but came up with nothing. That cold ticking noise could be many things including the idle pulley.. Sounds like an exhaust leak. Check all your exhaust manifold bolts.
