Me too, just bought my car and told it needs a gearbox service. Wouldn't mind saving a bit over the factory stuff.

Any ideas guys if replacement fluids need to be changed more regularly than the factory stuff.

Don't want to turn this into another war of oil thread.

The website has suitable gearboxes at the bottom, can anyone advise which ZF is in the BF mark I?

Ya get what ya pays for. I went back to Lube Guard as its now a sensible price, my tuner still swears by Transmax Z though.

as posted on the other forum, does it have approval of ZF or is it just Nulon saying it is? Castrol knows their oil is used and works in the ZF but will not advertise it is acceptable as ZF has not approved it

yeh but as per that poster if u use it and ya zf sh*ts its self id be knocking on nulons door for a rebuild ...........poster says so lol

Yeah, but there's a difference between "suitable" and "approved" isn't there. I'm sure this has been through their legal department before the poster was made!
