Rocky contacted security for Melb Uni. Was a real coup if you ask me - "So, yeah, I'm wondering if I can have your permission to bring 14 heavily modified Ford turbos down into your heritage listed underground carpark for some photos "

By the way, I took artistic licence in the above has to do with contacts I believe

But nevertheless - was good getting us access to the Melbourne Uni carpark and also the inside the Science Works grounds Rocky

I see. How did you guys get permission?

Called the Traffic and Parking Coordinator on 03 8344 7774, grabbed their email address and requested approval for authority to gain access to the southern undergound car park as a start point for a car club cruise. Response was, "This is OK with me", then liaised via email to sort timings and access route. They posted a traffic officer on Gate 10, Grattan Street, for our arrival.

Scienceworks was an inside job as I knew the Volunteer Coordinator and she allowed us access to the Pumping Station's courtyard. She mentioned that in the past some Mad Max fan-built replicas had visited and they were more than happy to have them.

So the key is to ask, as you'll never know what you'll get away with!
