TurboMickFG New Member 1 Member For: 15y 5m 6d Posted 29/03/12 06:00 AM Posted 29/03/12 06:00 AM Hi Folks,I just had my first 15,000km Service, at a local Ford place in Canberra ACT, where I bought the car from.and wanted to know what people are paying for standard servicing?This service cost me $360 when I asked why so much, the guy told me its because its a turbo, and they have to tighten up the manifold bolts.I said I thought this was a bit much to tighten up a bolt, he laughed and said they also change the oil and filter.Is this normal?Thanks.

Sounds like he is saying this is something out of the ordinary. Unless they are talking about your turbo inline oil filter?

I also said why $360 to change oil and a filter. he just ahh well that's just the price.but if your read the capped price book info you actually get road side assistance for 12 months!!! that's what I was told, I never read the book.

I would find out what needs to be done and try do as much as you can that won't void warranty and just get them to do the rest.
