Just wondering I have purchased a second hand full exhaust kit from 4" stainless steel dump to sports tip! What will happen if I install this on my xr6t before I tune my car?

I'm looking at installing the system then getting a tune in 2 weeks time! I want to install it prior to the tune as I don't want to have to pay them to install it! Any help would be great.

Overboost. Not a good Idea.

Why not install it just before the tune?

#3

exactly...why install it so far ahead of the tune :dontknow:

are you doing any other mods?

And yeah injectors, x cal and the exhaust system!

At least the few hundred you save can go towards an engine rebuild I guess :idunno:

I fitted a 100cpi cat converter to my xr6t and then drove it 8 hrs to be tuned, just had to stay off boost, not a real problem.

you cant change the injectors and drive it to tuner. You can, but you cant.

Exhaust swap is fine as long as you stay off boost. Feel free to change it all bar injectors and drive it down.

stay off boost and drive 500kms? fark that's a big ask.

just pay them to fit it for you. your already driving 500kms to get a tune, whats another 100 to fit a exhaust.
