I usually go to all the major brands websites.

you can select your car and model and it will list what is reccomended for your car. it will show engine oil, diff, gearbox etc etc. castrol, penrite have this feature on their sites not sure of the other brands.

I just did a quick look on penrite option are:

* sin 15 or sin 0 (these are full synthetic)

* EVERYDAY FULL SYNTHETIC 10W-40

* HPR 10

* EVERYDAY DRIVING 15W-40

you get the idea.

how much do you want to pay?

Thanks for your help!A friend suggested NULON FULL SYNTHETIC 15W-50 STREET & TRACK HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINE OIL. Would this be o.k for normal everyday driving? My car is stock and dont really drive it hard.

Basically you want a Full syn with the last number being a 40 for normal driving. The first number can be a 10, 5 or a 0 with out causing you any issues (its about warm up time for it to go between the first number viscousity and the second number).

Now if you were racing it or taking it to the track for a bit of fun you should then use a 50 or 60 for the second number due to the extra temp the oil must deal with during long periods and running out the revs over and over.

So basically everday driving 10w40 or 0w40 whatever you want to pay and floats your boat is the go. Get a reputable brand thou.
