Valve Springs Maxed At 250Rwkw

Hi people. This is my first post, but ive been lurking around reading alot of usefull info. Pretty switched on bunch of people here. I purchased my Bf mk2 xr6 turbo about 9 months ago and I love it to death. Its pretty much my only hobby atm as I work 13 hour days 6 days a week. Not much of a life. But what can you do. She makes me very happy. Last week I decided to get n edit n custom tune with the xcal 3 flash tuner. The car made 251rwkw with just a k&n panel filter which I was very happy with. Feels like a whole different car, makes me smile every time I put my foot down. But heres my problem. when I had a chat to the tuner he told me my valve springs were maxed out. I was under the impression that the valve springs were good for alot more power on the bf mk2. ( its a 06/07 build, also has 88k on the clock) is my tuner talkin crap n just trying to milk me for some extra coin. I do plan on doing abit more work to the car. Has this happened to any1 with a bf mk2? I do understand it is a possibility. But what can cause this to happen? Im still new to the whole xr6t scene n I just want to make sure im not getting shafted as im still learning. Any help would be appreciated. :) thanks in advance!

more valve spring issues are showing up as these cars get older

You should choose a tuner that you trust and listen to their recommendations but do you know what boost your running to make the power?

Yeah I could imagine fordriver. 3/4 throttle would be enough I reckon. Bloke from work has a phoon with 370atw. Took me for a spin. Felt sick afterwards. Gut wrenching torque man.

I have a May 07 build and have bought a set of Nizpro springs for the day when the stock ones get floppy. Almost 140,000km on her now! Some lumpy idle at times, usually after it's driven short distances though, not after giving it a flogging, which seems odd. Haven't had coils or spark plugs checked though.

But yeah, I know that running 15PSI will wear them out sooner or later.

Get the Atomik springs or the Crows.... Dont waste your time with the Nizpro's they go sh*t aswell.

That's what I've heard, but I got them free with dirty injectors which I sold off so can't complain, cost me $50 :)
