Hi Everyone - I am now (as of yesterday) the proud owner of a White XR6 Turbo 50th Anniversary Ford with 4000 ks on the clock. I picked it up last night and have to say I love it. I was extremely lucky as the original purchaser was an older gent who had purchased spare everything (badges, decals, mats, console etc) for the car which he gave me and it is like brand new. He even paid 12 months rego for me. He is a real Ford enthusiast and didn't want to part with it, but was going overseas and hardly ever had time to drive it. My father used to restore Ford Customlines, so I was bought up around Fords, however chose a HQ Expensive Daewoo Monaro Coupe (2 door) which was my first car. I sold this many years ago (big mistake)and now feel like I have a new classic in my hands. She (sorry guys she is a girl) drives like a dream. I spotted this forum when I was trying to find out how many of them were made, which appears to be around 750. Does anyone know the colour breakdown, as I haven't seen any in white until I found mine, although I am sure they are out there. Now I'm waiting on my custom plates to come in and really annoyed I had to work today so I can't take her for a spin until tomorrow. Hope you members are full of good advice as I've read the entire manual, but I'm sure I will need some help with some things. Drive safety. :icon_ford:

Congrats and welcome to the forum. :icon_ford: Nice score to get a spare console, quite rare I imagine for someone to get that for a spare, can understand the badges, I'll be getting a new one for the rear as I blew off the last checker bit from the badge when washing with pressure a cleaner. With those Kms, I'd suggest driving it like you stole it to get the motor used to it asap. :3gears:

Well done, white FGs do look the goods.

Got any upgrades planned?

If you haven't, then a word of warning, if you spend any time on this forum then guaranteed before long you will be parting with your hard earned cash.

There's a truck load of good info and ideas on here to get you started.

Thanks for your welcome everyone. Not too sure on mods I married a Ford Technician of 17 years & I've seen lots of botched mods. Bought my 17 yo a AU II XR a few months ago & the previous owner appears to have fiddled with things he knew nothing about. If your going to mix with perfection pay the money to get it done right. My baby will be staying in the garage in original condition, but I enjoy seeing what others are doing.

Hi Jenny,

congrats on the new ride and welcome to the 50th Ann Club.

I picked up my XR50 Turbo (Silhouette) in November and I am still madly in love.

Don't leave it in the garage, get her out and enjoy the mad turbo rush :)
