Loud Noise When Opening Boot?

Hi all, got a weird problem. Just bought a bf f6 and When opening my boot, either by key or from inside, there's a loud quick knocking noise that comes from the rear boot lock and it docent unlock. After like 2 or 3 attempts it'll open up normally. Anyone had this problem or have an idea of what it could be????

Sounds like the boot lock solenoid is on its way out.

im on my 4th faulty one done under warranty, about to go for my 5th?

starting to think I might have some other issues though, as I can't see 4 items being faulty ..(3 of them straight of the shelf)

Yeh your boot solenoid is shagged, mine did it too. Doesn't pop the boot up enough to open it and it chatters. Spoiler is to heavy for it. Got mine replaced under warranty at ford.

Okay if you've gone through that many and if what Bigkeels is saying about the boot being to heavy and it part opening and then chattering due to hitting part of the lock when its not fully clear.

I would look at the boot gas shocks as if those are a bit tired then it wont try push the boot open as well as a new set, you will most likely also need new solenoid or actuator but that would be something to look at for a cause.

yeh good idea, ill put that to them when I have a chance to go there next..can't believe they sent me on my way 3 times knowing the new part was stuffed/didn't fix the issue..
