hey guys im getting a new gear box next month for my built and im waying up a built c4 with a transbreak or a built 4l60e any thorts would be unreal

Go a T400 mate if you have over 600+. Mates with c4's have had problems.... shafts snap.

You know what I reckon Keep it FORD mate, C4 if built right will take everything you can throw at it, what are your power goals? for example Bradens FG (YUTRYN) made 980rwhp or something with the C4, check out Performance Automatics they do a C4 with Convertor and give a lifetime warranty on components which is hard to beat also Protrans, Als Race Glides or Dominellos can hook you up with the conversion for bellhousing go for a Torque Power over a Dellows they are way better fit/quality.... will have the ute back in a week or two will take you for a spin and you can get an idea of how it drives

yea 2 easy ben I wanna go the c4 but thort I would ask others for there input but yea looking 4 ward to it man my turbo arrived today

I'd go a Powerglide if you want a "pure" drag box. But depending on your power how much street driving you do, I'd consider a 4l60 / 4l65. I've got a 4l65 that will be going behind my new motor. Plan to put 1000HP+ through it on the dyno and 750+ on the strip. See how that goes. Next box will be a PG for sure.

The 4l85E has a heap better torque rating than the 65 - some ls1 guys went for them - ring Aaron at DTM Tranmissions he knows what they will and wont do and has full man setups and trans bakes for them.

They do. The 80/85 is a beefier unit but is also more parasitic that the 65. I also found when looking into it that they are a fair bit more expensive. I was quoted 10k for an 80 that was rated to 1000hp versus about 6k for the 65 rated to about 800hp. Definitely an option if you have the dosh.
