Just heard on the radio 12.00pm (Perth time) 2 people were killed whilst test driving an XR Falcon in Mandurah. They did not specify type of XR....surely this must be a first anywhere in Australia....freaky

ps

they did specify that speed was the cause!!!! :(

Geez, that's bad news, l would like to know more about the circumstances that led to the accident.

l wonder if this will make it harder in the future to get a test drive, no doubt dealers are going to feel the pinch from their insurance companies after something like this.

can we assume it was a test pilot and a salesperson? Maybe it wasn,t their fault .Could happen in any car I suppose .Life is just too damn short.

It's not speed that kills, it's drivers who put themselves into positions they can't handle, whether it be at speed or not. This sounds like a total waste of life and I don't think anyone that age should be given a $40,000 car without supervision. How must the sales guy who gave him the keys feel :( poor guy. Will be interesting to hear all the details of how it occured.

It's always scary hearing something like that especially whern a truck and car are involved, being so young makes it even worse.. being 19 myself the last thing you want to do is put yourself in a dangerous position with that much power behind the wheel.. but its a lesson for all I guess.
