Hi guys

Where are you placing you external knock detection sensors (LINK G4 Knock block) on the IL6 Turbo engines for knock detection on the dyno?

Doesnt seem to be alot of places you can get it

There are 2 holes on the front of the inlet manifold that will take a 8mm bolt.

Also can knock retard be logged on the BA falcon?

Thanks

Phil

I cant find Knock retard in my scanner, maybe the BA doesnt support knock retard logging, I have knock sensor volts but that doesnt log.

Under ign advance, I only have the option to log advance or advance SAE

Im using VCM suite 2.23 beta

Phil

Can't tell u where to put it. But yes knock retard can be logged through obd port.

Isn't the knock sensor useless on the BA as it gets to confused? The later models with dual knock sensors I know tuners enable them but not with the BA that's why we play with fire when we push them to there limits as there's no backup safety to pull timing!

Yes BA knock detection is a little ordinary, but still can be used, FG is still not great.

It depends if you want an average of all cylinders or individuals. I'm abroad and have nothing with me but it appears as an adder. Look under Spark. Calibrating it/them is tedious....enjoy :P
