November 27, 200322 yr #31 Sweet, Ill be doing the same, putting 15k or so on cash, so it should give me some bargaining power, I hope I get some good discounts, but only time will tell...
July 10, 200620 yr #32 Go to a dealer a friend has bought a few cars off, and usually with recommendations they will give a fleet discount. Hold onto the cash if you have a business or not, take out a hire purchase or loan. The car will depreciate and you can earn interest on your cash. Think about it.......
July 11, 200620 yr #33 ...and then I found out a relative works for ford and he said to c the sales guys where he works and I did and they said they will look aftr me ..←If you have a rello that works for ford you may be able to buy through ford's employee discount program. It extends to employee's "imediate family" which ford define as parents, wife, husband (including defacto), brother, sister, daughter, son, daughter/son in-law, grandparents and grandchildren. My farther works for Ford and I bought mine throught the program for $35 600 on the road. But generaly when I buy bigger dollar things I usually shop around to get the best price I can then I go to my local dealer or where I would prefer to buy from and tell them this is the best price I have found and if they can match it I'll buy it from them. Has worked ok for me so far.
July 12, 200620 yr #37 3 years ago I got a pretty good discount (as per previous posts), but 2 years ago I got an even better one...8k worth
