Vibration On Freeway After Spring Change

so I had ssl in the rear of the car and replaced them with sssl springs. now what I find is I get a constant vibration from under the car between 80kph to 100kph. so took them out and vibration gone. any reason why this happens, looked good but drove bad. could it be drive shafts,tailshaft,shocks.

1. drive shaft CV's will be loaded. Same as a full car load

2. bump stops will be pushed in so hard and solid...did you take them out or cut them down?

Driveshaft angles at that ride height less than ideal.

The rear section must have each CV spinning on it's own centreline...only by a few degrees or so. This lessens vibration.

If it all spins on the same centreline, it can induce some element of whip/vibration.

Agree with the post above. The car is not designed to be at that consistent height in normal operation.

yeah cut the bump stops, should I put a camber kit on, and will it help?

If you put the SSSLs back in get it retuned asap and try to keep it off boost

Wouldn't be just because of the springs. I've fitted SSSLs to a few mates cars and never had problems with the drive. And nothings ever broke, ones auto and ones manual, both sedans. My utes been lowered 3" and drives fine too. Except I can feel every imperfection in the road.

My brother has SSSLs compressed 1" and nothings ever broke and it drives pretty nicely. And it's had every size wheel fitted between 15"-22".

Wheels might need to be balanced??

yeah done the wheel balance, will look at getting tuned asap to see if that fixes the problem. or do you meen like the vb,vc,vh commordore and get the RTD radial tuned suspension henz
