yeah we keep hearing this. Ford do have form dropping models or engines that bite them on the arse later however. Remember when they dumped the V8? I'll either buy a GS, or go back to the dark side. It's not worth losing sleep over.

Yes, I personally think it will happen and they will stop local production here (Falcon dead) but will import the Taurus and pretend that's a Falcon instead.

As long as it doesn't remind me of pretend XRs like the Mondeo and Focus (Zzzzzzzzz in every way for mine) then maybe its not all lost and it could be a positive move - but I have to admit, with fuel prices and "green" views dominating decision making from "the suits", I have minimal confidence and hope I'm wrong.........

ps: HSV GAY, how can you buy a new GS if it doesn't exist? (hence the initial post)

Well from what I have heard, and hopefully Bunna can confirm is that ford will stop making the falcon ute from the end of next year. My brother inlaw also works at ford at broadmeadows production line like Bunna. Bunna can you confirm or deny this?

No worries HSV, so many people forget it will affect the whole range (6, 6T, 8 and SC8) if they do pull the trigger.....

Maybe bring the new Boss Mustang here instead at a good price - call that the XR and we might be pleasantly surprised!! (0% chance of that happening unfortunately...)
