Which Car? Bf Typhoon Or Fg Xr6T

Hey guys just looking for some opinions. I'm new to Fords and XR6Ts but planning to change that in the next few weeks. I've narrowed the search down to either an FG XR6T or BF MK11 Typhoon. They are in the same sort of price range. Car will be daily driven, but I'll be doing all the basic mods (intercooler, intake, injectors, tune, exhaust) and will aim for about 350-360rwkw. Been in a mates BA with similar power and loved it...perfect for the street.

Has anyone gone from a BF Typhoon to an FG XR6T? Was is a worthy upgrade? Would like to hear real world opinions on which would be a better car as a base for the power I want to achieve. I think both look great but I'd like to know which with be the better overall package (handling, brakes, build quality, ect)?!

go the phoon, you can get the same power out of both. but the phoon is,better looking,better brakes,better seats,will hold value a bit better,not as many around,also look factor when you drive it. upside of fg new car will have factory warranty left,but cannot do mods or they will void it. if not to worried bout that then go the fg.

oh no here we go again. I test drove phoons and fg turbos when I sold my 340rwkw ba. phoon felt like my ba with a bodykit. couldnt go past the fg. test drive them mate and youll feel the difference. if you can afford the fg f6 then that's the ultimate car to get. sh*ts on all.

Thanks guys. I've driven a stock FG XR6T and rated it pretty highly, much much better car than my current VZ SS. I've found a manual one for just under $43000 drive away with leather which is pretty well priced. Tough decision!

I was in the exact same boat, was all but set on the phoon until I drove the FG, bought it almost straight away, the FG feels better all around bar the brakes.

Buy an FG and upgrade the brakes Plus for whatever reason the FG was $400.00 per year cheaper on insurance as a little bonus.

I ended up going the FG - a huge difference in the way the car feels, handles and performs.

After owning the BF F6 for 3 years & driving quite a few FG F6s & XR6Ts with decent power I can comfortably say the FG destroys the BF in every single way & is just so smooth. But I wouldn't swap my BF F6 for an FG XR6T with the same mods, it would have to be an FG F6.

Sounds like the general idea is to go for the FG which I was leaning towards anyway! I did notice that the brakes weren't in line with the rest of the car that's one of the main reasons I considered a BF Typhoon. I'd love an FG F6 but I dont want to spend that much. I'd be better off using the money I save towards mods and having a better package overall.
