I have a late 09 ute and no problems whatsoever - the idler pulley I got replaced under warranty cos it was a little noisy but since then it runs fine! I too have heard of the handbrake cable issue.

I was racing at Calder on Saturday night, seen quite a few other XR6s/F6s there - I was in the Ego FG ute with dark argents. Very VERY happy with my time - ran a 12.90 - 1.9 second 60 ft. - completely standard no mods on 19" everyday road tyres. The ZF auto gearbox was a pain in the ass in my opinion. Very difficult to launch without it going into limp mode and the delay from shifting up a gear before hitting limiter was a pain in the ass (1st to 2nd gear most of the time)! All in all was a good day I did say Hi to a few people (dont know if your on these forums or not)maybe should organise a drag day with a few more XR6T/F6 people!!

that sh*t looks hidieous - all those sort of rims belong on hyundai excels or VS commodores!

get some decent rims with decent offset. I honestly havent seen many FGs yet with nice offset. Its something on my list. What I cant understand is how many people go and fork out the big $$$ on some sh*t china made 20" wheels and then everyone compliments them on how good it is. yet they sit a mile in the guard and look like sh*t. here are some examples of good fitment ive found on a FG Im looking at a set of Volk Racing CE28ns in 19" for my ute!!!

went to the meet at 11.45 and met Jono no one else was there I guess I Rocked up too late. the Black FG turbo was a mate of mines from the western burbs - got done speeding 120 odd in a 80 zone - straight impound and year loss of license. Seen another grey F6?? maybe someone on here cos I see it on the hwy a bit get impounded as well. It was a sh*t night cops destroy everything. Was just saying to mates there were sh*tbox VT/VZ commonwhore wagons and sedans stickered,sh*tty systems blaring up driving like retards as fast as they could cutting people off and the cops without fail dont even take notice of them - but they always end up gettin the guy that gives it a little punch here and there.

Hi guys, I have been reading through this forum but cant find too much info on utes. Can anyone please tell me what the size of speakers fit in the FG ute - both front and rear (ie. do 6X9s fit?) and what sort of basic speaker setup without using an amplifier would be decent. Regards Kim

hey guys was driving home from work this arvo on greens rd around dandenong - all of a sudden a duck waddles out onto the road - and bang I collected it - It managed to smash my drivers side foglight clean out (the glass bit) breaking all the clips that hold it in. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement from - its too late to ring ford today but was wondering if anyone would have an idea - its shattering when your near new car gets some damage on it :(

Im certain that you have to have as a minimum a half cage to take a passenger - I have done many a drift day at Winton and I had a half cage in my car so I was allowed to take passengers.

I think for winton all you need is a AASA license (I currently hold one) - I will be keen to take my ute - I would definetely go a set of semi slicks and some upgraded brake pads though - my brakes dont feel good on the street so Im guessing they would be rubbish after a lap or two! but yes I would be happy to go if we get the numbers.

went for a jog on friday nite seen a purple and a black? FG F6s jogging as well. I didnt see much else out went to the other jogging tracks with a couple of mates turned out a decent night!

hey guys Im thinking of lowering my FG ute - it sits on the 19 FPV argents at the moment and the rear sits a little too high. I have never owned a vehicle with leaf springs before so I dont really know what the affect is in terms of handling. My priority is for it to gain potentially Better handling and a slightly lower ride height so that it doesnt look so agricultural. I have also heard of FG turbos spitting out diffs once lowered and then being knocked back for warranty due to it being modified - is there a way around this or is it more prevalent with manual models (mine is the ZF auto). Can anyone reccomend anywhere in melbourne who are good with ute suspension setups. cheers Kim

last night on highway seen one of those Ex-Police NSW FG XR6 turbo cop cars with the old Typhoon wheels and front Brembos!!! Even had NSW plates on it
