Fg Dump/Cat...

Featured Replies

#1

I have decided to save some beans and not do a full system on my FG G6ET, I dont want more sound and the full 4" I had planned would drive me nuts... I think I can reach my performance expectations with just a cat and dump

so question is, what to use and where to buy an off the shelf dump and cat that will be direct no modification bolt on to the existing factory exhaust?

I know of the xforce 4" dump but I take it that that 4" dump and cat wont bolt onto the factory 3" pipe

prefer bolt on so I can easily change back to stock when I feel like it

thanks

What are your performance expectations?

well tune only made 275rwkw, I'd like to say 300rwkw, but an honest genuine 290rwkw would be nice, with it coming on hard and fast like it did when first tuned... it made 275rwkw but I'd say under the same exact conditions today it'd only make 250rwkw.... I think the cat has had it

it has xr8 airbox, but I'll be putting on a bluepower airbox if I can be convinced it is actually proven better than other similar types, I have a HDI kit to fit soon + valve springs and some injectors, combined with the dump + cat I hop im being realistic.... but more importantly I'd prefer reliability and results over dyno numbers..... I can get the operator to fudge the sheet to impress the internets people, but I just want to improve on the 113.5mph it ran last time..

im open to sugestions as to my mods though..

thanks tekaani, that's what im after

I'd like to here answers to your questions too. I have a G6ET and wouldn't consider something for 'noise' but WOULD consider dump pipes etc.

smb and ces make a dumb/cat that tapers down to fit the factory cat back.

these will cost more than the x force though

I was gonna go with one of those but recently decided to amp it up to a 4" dump for future mods sake..
