Venom Cat Converters

Greetings all,

Has anyone installed/heard of 'Venom' brand (off ebay) cat converter? Are they any good?

If so which one: 4" or 5" body? Im looking for something that can handle around 270rwkw

I have the 100cell 4" body and 3" inlet/outlet welded in the stock exhaust. 338rwkw, 270kw will be easy...

I use a venom. I push heaps over 350rwkw and not showing any restrictions yet.

To answer my own question, This brand isnt reliable! And Im only pushing 308rwkw, only occasionally hit WOT since tuned

I had installed last October(2011), so now the last few days I noticed a 'hummm' (dead set exhaust leak sound) from the exhaust area near the turbo.

Had a look under the car when it was running this morning and I could see a vertical split from one section of the cat, where the body joins the 3" outlet.

Wow.. How old is it? Venom have a warranty.. And alot of people run them no issues..

I bought it late 2010, installed Oct 2011

even if they replace it, I wouldnt install another one.

George backs his products and they give a warranty. sh*t happens with any brand. Might have been a chit install. To make a global call like that against a manufacturer is pretty harsh. Why don't you just contact them and discuss it first?
