High Level Output From Factory Amp

If the factory amp is unplugged, the full signal is sent to the speakers.

Otherwise, you could just run your new amp off the factory one, you wont blow anything up. Plug it in and see if you like it.

I'll have to dig out he BA manual on CD I have somewhere. The wiring diagram was from that.

thanks guys. I spliced one RCA lead directly into the wires that power the sub, and plugged it straight into the amp. works perfectly!

also the sub inputs from the icc are the yellow(+) and black(-) wires (next to the 2 blue wires) the signal was way too week even with 2 channels bridged on the amp, I then took the input from the wires driving the sub (coming out of factory amp) and it cranked hard with just one channel!

My research (half assed as usual) suggested you take a line off one of the rear speakers, run it through a hi-lo converter to a mono amp and run the subby off that. Havent done mine yet. Got all the bits but that was how I was told to do it.

Just to clarify as my factory sub has decided to pack itself....You have spliced RCA plugs from the wires that are FROM the amp to the factory sub and used these wires which are plugged into your new amp and sub combo?

ORRRR have you spliced the RCA prior to entering the factory amp?

Yes you can use the High level input but it will need PRE-AMP before u feed a Monoblock

IF you tap of the Rears(Or fronts)u must disconnect the Premo amp to allw full range to the rear channels.

if you tap rears , u need a good converter not a cheap 20 buck stinger job.

I use and reccomend the Audiocontrol LC6i ($279 JB HIFI). if SQ s what your chasing

do away with the ICC Completley. If u still wat SQ with the ICC , RF 360.2 ? (around 700)

will do what you want

if u only want good sound for 20 bucks

do m RCA for ICC guide its sounds alot better than any 20 Hi-Low convertor

loading an amp up with the amped premo signal is not a wise idea, u will be overdriving the input which will clip the waveform causing unwanted distortion even at low VOL levels

so your saying if you plug in the Factory amp then the ICC sensors this and enables a high pass filter to the 4 in car speakers, because it thinks

that you are running your sub for bass therefore the fronts and rears dont need the bass frequencies.

im not to keen on spliting the fronts or rears in order to run a signal to my aftermarket sub im looking to install, so if I wanted to

utelize the yellow/black LOW PASS signal that would normally be fed into the factory amp would I require a pre-amp device such as a lc6i, mtx re-q?
