Well, I just bought this:

shiftlight.jpg

Should be good for Friday. Will be set to ~5700rpm $45 delivered (ebay)

clip 1 cable, and solder 3 others. Simple and you get a shift light with no g*y 5" rice tacho!

I just picked up free off my father some cross drilled and slotted rotors for my beast.

brand new only done 100km, he upgraded the brakes on his 34 coup to 8 pot nastys and gave me the old gear. score for free.

you may need a modulator box to convert the crank trigger to a tach signal to use that shift light.

I got the same shift light in my previous ZX.

simple to install.

Comes with 5 cables all together (2 loop back). You clip one of the loop back ones and insulate (tape) the clipped cables. And leave the other one in tact (since its a 6 cyl only need to clip 1 wire). Clip both for 4cyl or none for 8cyl.

Then the other 3 wires. Red > 12V Ignition switch, Black > earth, green > Coil negative OR on electronic ignition (MSD/Crane connect wire to tach terminal)
