Daytime Observation Run.....

Whist its pretty obvious that our night cruises have been very sucessful to date....
Its been too long since weve had a daytime deal that we can bring our girlfriends, missus and kids (or both if your brave) along too?

For a while now, Ive been thinking about putting a daytime family Christmas cruise together comprising an öbservation" run".
That is.....a start point where everyone gets a series of questions to find the answers to while following a set route.....you will need a navigator for this one because some questions can answered on the run but there will be others where you will have to get out and look to find the answers.....
Prior to the event, I will do a reccy and set a benchmark time.....participants are sent off at approx. two minute intervals to complete the route, answer the questions and whoever gets the closest to the benchmark time at the finish wins the prize.(to be decided)
I have identified a suitable finish venue just south of Sydney that will have lots of appeal to everyone, kids and grownups alike, and with a decent rollup,I think it would be a great time for everybody.
The venue has an undercover area with ample seating and tables, but there are no BBQ facilities, so we would have to organise our own so I would need a generous member with a ute to transport the barbie for us...(where's Ernie when you need him?)....people would need to bring their own meat for the BBQ and there's a small fee to enter (but they said we'd get a group discount)
I have to pay a deposit on the venue to keep it clear for us so I'd like to get some idea of how many may be interested first....
this will take a bit of planning and there's lots to do to set it up, so before we get all carried away.....??
To make this sucessful, we'd need about 25 cars or so.....
Im thinking about setting this up for late November so as not to clash with too many work parties or family gatherings.

If the support is there for it?.....we are not asking for a commitment now, just expressions of interest for now....
