Not sure about wrong but I'd think it would be loud pointing at the ground?

Far from it, it's pretty quiet. I specifically told Bryan I wanted it as quiet as possible, he never mentioned it dumping down to be louder, it actually has quite a good note. I can probably take a sound clip of it if you guys would like?

Yeh if you could, would be good to hear as generally they resonate and amplify the noise when pointed down

Here's an audio sample, rev'd it pretty flat stick, dunno if it's clear enough for what you wanted but it's not droney or anything. Let me know if that's sort of what you were after, I had the camera about a metre away from the exhaust just to the side.
