Yeah, I presume they make a universal bracket??? I have found a location for it now too. Ive taken out the two floor mat holders and will screw it down to floor. Hopefully there are no cables under it... the seat is still able to go into foward most position without hitting it and it looks hidden, will post pic once complete but first need metal bracket so if anyone knows where to get let me know

the FE I bought came with a metal bracket which wouldn't allow the FE to fly around in a smash.

some FE come with the metal bracket, some with the plastic bracket.

did you suss out the link I posted before? that's for the custom bracket to suit XR seat rails; the FE's bracket bolts to that whether its metal or plastic (but metal is recommended).

cant view it, not a memeber. However I do beleive the plastic one I have should be ok. The type of plastic that it is should withstand a BIG force. More than what a car crash would cause. To ensure my safety from having a FE ingraved in the back of my leg, I laser cut a 2mm stainless steel plate for the underside of the plastic bracket to stiffen it up. So now all I have to do is get/make a steel clip with bracing to go under the stainless plate and up over the FE. Basically the same as a metal bracket. Anybody know if there are any cables between the two front ends of the seat brackets (plastic things)??????

I have one with a 1KG extingisher that sits in front of the passenger seat like JC807.

Mines on a metal bracket made locally by one of the wa guys (Adrian) and it bolts onto the bolts on the rails. The actual bracket is metal as well. I know a few guys at a hillclimb last year got turned away as their brackets / clips for the extinguisher itself is plastic.

Only problem is I cant ever move the seat forward (but since its not a dauily and rarely sees more than 2 people its no issue). Its designed to be strong in case I crash. Last thing I want is a 1kg metal tube flying around the cabin.

Mat, the one I got bolts onto the seat, which still allows the seat to be moved. is yours fouling on the adjustment bar?

I've got one of the brackets from AFF on the way over. Going to get it powdercoated black to suit.

I have a 1kg FE with a metal bracket.

Will try and post pics once all is done.
