I had a Merc that had real problems with putting itself into limp mode and youd get something done to sort it then sure enough it would happen again. Ended up giving up on the thing as it was sucking too much money.

Try puting the standard filter back in also as the K&N does flow pretty much free.As most on here have said its a process of elimination so start from scratch, its really hard when virtually no one has had the exact problem.Check those battery cables and earths also like others said.Good luck it with and report back when its resolved

Mechanic had it for the whole week and they investigated ALOT of different possibilities... None of which resolved the problem. So they decided to change the ECU and put a flashtuner on it aswell, gave it back to me over the weekend and it has not happened again! Yay in one way because problem solved, not in another cos now I have to ring him tomorrow to tell him its all ok and pay for the bill!!!
