January 31, 201016 yr #1 Scratch last pm paste what your posting here...Hey Dags here it is.I titled the topic 2009 Corvette.CheersRented a bright yellow 2009 Corvette ragtop from Hertz in Tampa Florida. It's got an LS3 and paddle change. No key, has a start and stop button that works off an electronic fob that recognises when you are within 20 feet of the car locks the doors when you walk away and unlocks them when you approach, the boot isn't big enough to hold a pack of sandwichs but I have to say it's an awesome if impractical car.The good folks of Florida are not plauged by radar or speed cameras and tend to drive faster than the limit but the traffic flows really well, I havn't seen a HWP car for the week I've been here.I had to do a stint on NBC TV yesterday and there is a 7 mile long 4 lane bridge that crosses back from Tampa to Clearwater. I was cruising along top down at 70mph with all and sundry flying past, I'd had enough when a Fed Ex truck passed me doing at least 100mph so I hit the pedal to the floor, holy hell the thing kicked back 2 gears and then came a gutteral roar and it hit 150mph in seconds and was still pulling strongly as common sense gave way to my lack of bravery. I've never been big on Chevs but between this Vette and the new Camaro my mind is changing. The Vette goes harder than any FPV I've owned and handles like a go cart. The sticker prive is only 53k which is plenty cheaper then a new F6 even with the exchange rate. God Bless America.I think it may be something to do with 2009 being the start of the post... After 5 failed attempts by you and two by me we got there.... :kyle:
January 31, 201016 yr #3 The only problem is anywhere you can buy the damn things from here tend to triple the price. Even the base C6 goes for well over 100k here, which is insane.

January 31, 201016 yr #9 Damn the USA has it good when it comes to cars. Every car there is effectively half price compared to Australia. I'm tempted to move to there.
January 31, 201016 yr #10 Hey James I have the Pics, but I forgot the little cord from the camera to the *beep* . The good news is that in the good ol US of A shops are Sundays so I will go get one.Not meaning to sound un Australian NB4C but the USA has it good for most things except land tax and the gang areas of LA and NY
