Hey guys, as the title says.

I went to get my car tuned in December and wen they ran it up on the dyno it was shutting down at 3000rpm and wouldnt rev more..

Then another 5 tunes then I went to 5000 RPM and wont go any more.. I can figure out what the problem could be..

I have change 3 sets of coil packs 3 sets of spark plugs, changed the fuel reg and..

Has this happened to anyone before???

Cheers

Pete

I dont think so, its a brand new cat and the rest of the zorst was like 7000kms old when I got it..

Would welds maybe cause any problems when they were welding the cat and flanges on??

Cheers

Pete

No, I wouldnt think the welding of the cat would have any thing to do with it.

Only thing that came up was a gearbox sensor of some sort..

My T was originally a 5 speed but I have converted it to a 6 speed..

scanning as you've done is a good start, but you need to datalog it while it is playing up to see what is doing what, I see so many problems that are related to the throttle shutting from torque management and some people seem to take for ever checking these sorts of things

I have the same issue with my car.... been happening since boxing day..

died in the arse at 5000rpm... back off and its all good again until 5000rpm.

mine doesnt do this on the dyno though....

I did data log it but the gearbox died 2 days after I data logged it...

so we havent bothered having a look at it...

I have tried almost everything, swapping throttle bodies, cam position sensors, coil packs etc....

so when I get the gearbox sorted out we will try and see what the issue is..

Mate have you considered paying Autotech, C&V or Tunehouse a visit?
