I have a problem and was wondering if any one eles has had the same issue...The timing chain on my car has jumped 3 teeth.... ford would not warranty it because it have been tuned I think that is bullsh*t.....

You just got some bad luck dude, have abeer and root and chin up.Scotty

Sounds like a faulty tensioner to me. Or there may have been some material that could have got trapped in the mesh causing the chain to jump. Check all tensioner brackets and wear faces.Chains and tensioners in good condition don't cause the chain to just jump 3 teeth for no reason. I gather that "they" have opened it to see that it has jumped the 3 teeth?If the cams have not been touched (ie unopened engine), how can the tune be completely relevant to their refusal? Sounds like they are using a general rubbish "go away" out clause. To legitimately refuse (IMO), they are implying that the tune must have caused the failure. Rubbish.What about the implied warranty that all products must have by law that it be "fit for it's intended purpose". The manufacturer's warranty is additional to this. I like my Falcons but would still give them a few thoughts of mine about their customer relationship. If the sales backup did their work like the engineers do, things would be a lot better.Good luck. If the sales backup did their work like the engineers do, things would be a lot better.Good luck.If they rev limiter functions have been modded (as per most tunes)ford are within there right to refuse as an overrev can cause issues like this.You could pursue ford under the pretence that until they prove your mods caused the failure they must warrant it. Kiss goodbye to a shitload of time and $'s if you go down this path.Get your car back from ford, find a GOOD mechanic and get it fixed. Its going to cost you a couple of grand at least but at least you know its done right this time

Not sure how, but I havent given this car a hard time so im blaming previous owner (pre last august). I also saw the chain tensioner part. I mean, I miss my old cleveland with basic double row timing chain, none of these multiple failure points

Tensioner bracket failed & the chain skipped a couple of teeth (taking a few chips off in the process). Never did any engine damage thankfully. It made it idle pretty lumpy though XFT fixed it all up with no dramas. Took a bit of time & $ but it's all good now.
