If you watch episode 8 or there abouts of OZ GARAGE (the HPF show) he explains how it is abl to be tuned out. Goes into brief detail too what it actually does. Left a nice black puff out the exhausts between shifts, it was stock standard Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/63775-new-f6/#findComment-956345 Share on other sites
Benny Member 1,869 Member For: 21y 9m 13d Gender: Male Location: Newcastle Posted 22/11/09 09:45 AM Share Posted 22/11/09 09:45 AM This is all completely normal and designed to reduce torque on shifts to protect the gearbox. Not really sure how it works, spark retard or fuel cut. Sounds great in my opinion and is even louder with more power.Benny Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/63775-new-f6/#findComment-956379 Share on other sites

EnricoPalazzo Member 84 Member For: 19y 9m 1d Posted 22/11/09 01:28 PM Share Posted 22/11/09 01:28 PM It was interesting watching episode 8 of Oz garage.Have tuners worked out how to remove the torque reduction yet on FPV fg f6 yet as my car is dissapointing to drive and power is being cut big time when accelerating due to this. There is something different between the fg f6 and xr6 turbo, as my tuner can fix it on the xr6s but not on the f6 yet. TC kicking in maybe? It would only be a fly sh*t in time you loose spark and I gues a fly sh*t in unused fuel out the rear just the same why to save gearbox? a assume the 270kw BF f6 didnt do it why now.
