I used to work for a company that did HP warranty repairs and a couple of times over the years my manager (not a big bloke) has had to tell customers who started throwing threats of violence or massive abuse around to take their equipment to the next support center which was 1-1.5 hours away and that we would not be dealing with any future problems. If they didn't get out on the spot their warranty would be voided and the equipment would not be fixed.I'm pretty nice when dealing with companies but sometimes you need to be assertive to get things done but there's no excuse for violence or the abuse some people go on with. As a society we need harsher punishments for those who initiate violence. I could jump in my car and do 150 down the freeway with no one around me or get busted doing a burnout in a deserted carpark and it'll cost me more than if I walk down the street and belt someone senseless - it doesn't make sense. Too much wrist slapping and not enough kicks in the arse by the courts has made the scum of society realise they can get away with thier crap.
