Need Help Asap

Hey all

Okay so recently my cars being making some pretty weird noises and doing some pretty strange things and its starting to annoy the FARK outta me!

1st thing is that when driving along and coming up to a traffic light and putting in the clutch the cars revs dip less than 1000 and the car starts to rattle and then I have to pump the accelerator to get the revs back up. I started downshifting gears from 3rd-2nd but as soon as I come to a stop and put the clutch in or drop it into neutral the car does the same thing it drops revs and rattles below 1000. If I sit at the light and touch the accelerator and the revs drop.. or even if im sitting there for more than 20seconds doing nothing at all the car seems like it wants 2 stall and its beginning to annoy the FARK outta me any suggestions?

2nd thing is any gear under 2000revs my car makes a weird grinding noise coming from like under the car! But as soon as I hit about 1950 revs it goes away and its all smooth sailing from there! Also when I turn the car off the car down powers but then make that clunky noise! Its annoying and sounds horrible! What could it be? Could it be the exhaust touching something or the diff or driveline or gearbox or clutch? Any ideas or suggestions boys?

The clunky noise could be an engine mount or exhaust. Have you given the throttle body a clean? Might help.

hmmmm I'm not sure how to clean the throttle body, do u have any links, pics or info to inform me? also what can I do to fix the engine mount and exhaust?

I did the Throttle Body Clean on the weekend along with the Boost Solenoid and my missus took it for a drive and she said it feels like it has more power and doesn't nearly stall when I stop.

Give those 2 a try first I reckon.

Shouldn't take you longer than 1hr if you know what you are doing.

I have the same thing with my manual 6spd in neutral when at the lights drops below 1k revs but then picks itself back up

doesnt do it all the time, just once in a while

dont need to pump the gas

how often do you need to clean the throttle body?

I'd do it every service if you have the turbo, for N/A nfi every major service id guess. The rev drop is probably the TPS the BA ones tend to be sh*thouse, If you replace it get the flat backed one not the one with a dimple. that noise on shutdown could be a problem though have it running and pop the hood if your turbos the source of the noise get it looked at asap!
