you think you have it bad with internet connections... The Parramatta Catholic Education office pays $1.2Million /year for inter-connectivity MPSL network with at least 4MB 1:1 concarnated connections to 80 sites and a data center

equates to about $11-15 per student

Your house internet connection is shared between around 40 other connections

I've got IPG and while downloads are great speed is not that flash but ok (I'm a little far from the exchange) but for the last 2-3 months it's been f*cking up multiple times per day and they are unable to resolve it. In saying that few other people I know also have TPG and they only have occasional disconnects.

Exetel have always worked out pretty good for me price wise and have been with them pretty much since they kicked off.

Check out whirlpool forums to see what providers most people have gripes with TPG seems to get a hammering almost as bad as telstra and optus.

Another thing about Exetel is that their initial contract are only 6 months, unlike 24 months for others. So at least you are not locked in for 2 years.

But like I said they are best value for money, I have recommended over a dozen people and they are all happy too. You will be hard pressed to find another ISP offering ADSL2 for $60/month with similar quotas and short contract periods.

Hey Jamie,

I work for Telstra as you know and would never use them for internet. Even with there unmetered content its still too pricey.

I use iiNet naked DSL at home. Its $59.95 for 45gig (15 peak and 30 off peak). Best part about naked DSL is you dont need to have a home phone so you saev $30 per month on line rental. You can get their new voIP phone for another $10 per month.

Please dont tell Telstra im bagging them!
