Well its been nearly 18mths & over 400kw later & ive just broken my first thing. Cant blame the car or anyone but myself. I really should of known better but these things happen. Dont really want to go in to how I broke it but it was absolute stupidity & it wasnt while doin anything I shouldnt of been doin.

As a result it no longer drives at all. I put the car on a trailer & took it up to SVS. The boys pulled the box out today & drained the oil which was clean as after about 3000klm & 25 track passes (transmax z). They did find that the oil pump on the converter was fd & also damaged the converter. Its goin over to WA asap to be pulled down to see if theres any internal damage. Either way its getting repaired & built tough. Just hope no shafts are broken & have contaminated anything inside. Guess we'll find out soon. Good excuse to start the build up I recon.

I think it would be a good idea to say how it happened so other people know what not to do.

fair enough.

Well was trying to get the coils to breakdown (have had a few problems) so full handbrake, foot brake & load it up in 2nd on boost. Only held it for a couple of seconds because I was worried about breaking something. I backed off & it went into what I thought was limp home mode. Has happened once before at the drags. Funny thing is there was no sign of slip or no bangs before it happened.

I know it was as dumb as it gets but I couldnt get the car in to ford for weeks & my tuner is a couple of hours away. I should of being patient & have learnt the hard way. Guess we'll see how much my stupidity is gonna cost me soon.

haha yep still stuffed only worked out the rear 2 are ok. Go on rub it in I feel like slapping myself lol. It might not be that serious. Wont know til its ripped apart. I'm looking at it as the first thing in the big build up. The bloke doin it is looking after me so it'll be all good.

Nah nothing to rub-in, you've manned-up and told it how it is to hopefully save someone else from the same. That's to be admired.

I wouldnt blame ya its pretty funny. Its a shame since from all the things that have been done to it & it was still running perfect. The box wont just be repaired it''ll be built to withstand some serious punishment. It leaves tomorrow morning hopefully & im told I should be back running it in within about 2 - 3wks. Cant wait to see how it goes down the 1/4 with the box in top form.

Most disappointed because the race fuel just turned up & was all bar ready to have a crack this wkend & I always said I wouldnt mind if I broke somwthing if I broke it in a blaze of glory. Ohh well theres still the engine.
