I'm not fussed either way. The Forum is a public forum. This means that it is the same as all of us collectively discussing something in the street or the pub with bystanders walking past and hearing what goes on.

If the Mods thought it needed to be closed so be it however I'm all for a bit of friendly niggle and sledging. The malicious stuff is best left for club rugby and work. (yes those weekend matches are very spirited and work is naturally full of meal room character assassins)

Dags, l agree with your decision.

All the colour stuff is good for a laugh but like anything, too much of a good thing can wear thin after a while. Ken and Al are funny ba$tards no doubt and brighten up the site, but having a lot of threads hijacked by the colour thing can get a bit repetitive after a while.

I must say that I do agree with the consensus of this thread, that the whole colour joke has had its day. Lets try and leave the hijacking to a minimum.

However, I am still leaving my member title. Cant hide my roots.

yeah I reckon its all in good fun just a lil extra we T owners can enjoy stipulating (<-------- my big word 4 the day I just I used it right!) about. If an owner wishes not to partake they need not get involved so yeah y not.

Geez.....all I did was found an easy way to typing Mercury Silver as I'm probably the fastest 2 finger typist West of Byron Bay, but 2 fingers is slow typing (also I miss spell checker :( )

The one thing I did like was the humour in the thread, it was very classy stuff and taken in the vein it was meant, just good harmless flamethrowing, pyromanical fun!

The other thing is the poll (to date) is in favour of the thread and that is heartening, again just good fun, no harm meant, even when I copped a silverturkey it did not deter me, I took it like a man, walked funny for a bit but :D

This Forum is one of the big highlights of my day, be it at night after a hard days slave so all you ungrateful buggers can drink your favourite amber ale in nice cold aluminium cans, or just before retiring into my nice warm fartsack after a night of the same hard slave.

And, I would do nothing to bring down the level of excellence of the information, and degrade the genuine pleasure of seeing newbies comming in all pumped up with the experiences of their turbo hawk (just like I was/am).

The only gripe I have is that the thread was not put back as promised (integrity guys ). If it had it would have been like a heroin injection room, it would have kept us HgAg junkies safe from the general population, tucked away in some little back street of the Fordxr6turbo web site, out of everybody's sight, free to dream our sparkling dreams. :D

Anyhow all that said, I will still be around and will offer help to anyone who needs it and will rise to any challenge and hopefully bring a little cheer and some happy thoughts into your lives to help you through your toughest days. Making you guys laugh certainally brings joy to my day.

I have noticed a few posts where some of us, (not just HgAg members), start going on about the colour of their 'T' when all that someone was trying to say was..."Yay, my 'T' is here and isn't she great.....Here are the list of options and here are some pics".

It was just an example of how this colour war has spread into other posts.

Colour preference, like one's taste in music, football team/code, political persuasion, religious bent are all items we can agree to disagree upon.

I can understand some people being distressed at the jibes about colour, my pet hate is the ongoing debate manual v's auto, man who gives a stuff, as long as you enjoy the car good, they both perform well, and I enjoy the exercise, especially in city traffic. :D :D

Change of subject: bought St Anger the other day, different from their last stuff, some great music writing, Love the title track and 'Some Kind Of Monster' but the production leaves a lot to be desired, the drums sound awful. But played loud it still rocks!!

The thread was not restored because it could not be found on backup (amongst some other threads).
