Ford Servicing

I just got my car back from a service and im not overly happy aside from having the hand break constantly fixed

I thought id better check the fluids and low and behold the power steering fluid is how it was b4 the service ...

I had problems b4 with the diff witch I had to take back several times ... Whats going on with these guys !!!

That's why they are affectionately known around here as "Fraud"

BUT, what type of service was it? Was it a major or minor?

I don't think changing PS fluid is part of any service though. I believe the fluids are supposed to be checked, but after that I'm not sure...

Does the car still feel like it did before the service? Why are you unhappy with the service?

Part of it is the Ford Team, but some of the parts they use when the build/repair have been known to be less than average. (But you're bound to find crap anywhere you go)

Handbrake is a common problem - BA right? The diff I have heard is another fairly common problem.

After you take some time to read the answers you get on here, just voice your unhappiness to the service centre. It's hard to find a really good service centre unless you know someone or have been quite lucky.

For example, I have not been able to find a decent tyre centre that can do a proper balance/alignment/rotation. They always feel like sh*t when I get it back...

it was a minor service .. but on the receipt I got from for it said that fluids where checked and all ok....

not ok I needed ps fluid .

just not that happy with them , I had to wait when I picked my car up for the test drive and when I got back in it , it smelled like someone took a sh*te in there ... I walked past the guy and he just looked pissed off ..

unless its 100% warranty do not let these chimps anywhere near your car. end. simple

Even then I have paid my tuner to fix warranty issues.

Sounds stupid, balance it out. Get an oil change fron Fraud , oil is the same colour, transmission can you tell?

I will let them fix rattles and squeeks only. Would rather my tuner take care of anything even remotley

mechanical. Wouldn't even let them touch a blown sub under warranty. Aftermarket all the way.

Not really, touch wood, but after hearing horror stories, my local mechanic is the only one allowed to touch my car. Plus Ford are an absolute rip-off.

They charged me $20 for a stop light bulb for my BA XLS ute

I used to take my ute there only because it was under warranty, but now the flood has claimed that car and I have my XR6T!!

Do you have the option of another dealer close by?

When you say 'it was a minor service .. but on the receipt I got from for it said that fluids where checked and all ok....'

and then you say 'not ok I needed ps fluid' how did you gauge wether you needed fluid?

When the dealer serviced your car do you know wether it was hot or cold or the level was between the min and max line etc?

Did you check over your car before you drove it away from the dealer?

I'm not standing up for poor service by any means but it's easy to jump on a forum and say the smallest thing about someone or a dealer and mud sticks.

The posts you've made, ben 380 are all fairly negative towards the particular dealer you've been too.

Have you taken up your concerns with the manager?

I understand what you are saying I did not name any dealer in particular and yes I did check my car b4 it went in

It's like they don't listen to me ... in the past I had to take it in for a diff prob (was making noise) they told me it was fine the first time ... 2 days latter the clunking still there I told them again same thing fine third time ... and get this it needs a new 1 ... in the space of a week .... they had the car for 2 weeks ... I rang them ,,,Whats the go? the shop they sent the diff to is not the one they normally use ...WTF... where is the new one???

so you tell me should the mud stick????
