C.a.p.a Spec Clutches

Hey Guys,

I bought one of those capa spec clutches stage 3, I got the slave and the steel flywheel and thought it was a tough clutch, After running it in for a 1000k's it started to fail, still shuttering its head off and had to release the clutch all the to the tip to take off and had to really release the pedal really slowly for it not to jerk of take off. After a few more thousand k's my diff ended up being really loose and ended needed a reco.

The guy at cappa honestly tried to help we organised to get it out and he replaced it as the mechanic said it was faulty, they replaced it with a stage 2 and know im finding the same problem (only off taking off though) releasing the pedal all the way to the tip.

Has anyone used these clutches and had problem with it? And can anyone reccomend a good everyday clutch? I heard of the Mal Woods one the go? any recommendations?

I'm not too familiar with the new clutches that CAPA are supplying, however I bought one of their original ones and it was an Extreme clutch. Very unfriendly on the street, but good for track work. I went to a Textralia Clutch from Rapid Systems (site sponsor) and it is still heavy on the street, but alot more forgiving than the extreme one.

Mal Wood is a sponsor here and has plenty of very happy customers, I've driven both the Option 3 and Option 5 clutch and they are very nice on the street.

Go for a proven Mal Wood clutch.

He knows his stuff. Clutches and gearboxes is all he does and he will back his products 100%.

I've heard some very noisy Textralia clutches

Give Mal a call I have one of his option3 kits in mine and its been holding between 370-395rwkws depending on which dyno you believe without any problems, its very smooth to drive with no rattles or shudder.

As Rob said if you have any problems with his gear he will sort it out without the excuses you might get elsewhere.

Capa supply SPEC clutches, their american clutches but they get GREAT reviews and feedback.

For the cash capa want, youd be mad not to try one.

I went to buy one late last year but they were out of stock for 3 months so I got one custom made in Bendigo.

This Spec clutches are sh*t, the guys at cappa kindly replaced it with a lower model and it is sh*t,

the guy actually blamed me like ive already thrashed it, What a joke!

And the price off these clutches for a sh*t result is terrible, for the same price you'll get a Mal Woods,

please guys don't waist your cash dont even try using crap like spec stuff.
