My T is well and truly bruised.

Some 4 wheel w@nker has opened his door into the passenger side of my t hard enough to put a crease in the top of the door frame above the front passenger window - also hard enough to leave a permament dint/mark in the rubber at the base of the window.

Wife had parked the car behind the Bridge Club in Kingston ACT on Thursday night and didn't notice the damage until Friday.

They must have known what damaged they caused - I can't understand how you could do that to someone elses property - there is just no respect anymore for other peoples stuff. Its so frustrating - its almost as if people set out to ruin other peoples enjoyment.

I got this car to be driven and enjoyed - not for some gutless *beep* to damage it in a carpark - I want to enjoy my car - not have it wrapped up in cotton wool.

I will have to claim this on insurance - its going to cost me over $300 to repair so I may as well. Will put the claim form in today - has anyone else had this sort of damage repaired ?

Unfortunately mate that is stock standard behaviour in a society where people have completely lost respect for other people's property (Canberra being probably the best example around). I would feel quite bad if I did it, and would probably leave a note. You'd wanna hear the gutless excuses people give when the Police do catch up with them though (through regos people give us and the like). So many people nowadays are tough enough to do something, but when they're called to account for their actions behave like kids and look to blame someone or something else.

happened to me once years ago. lived in a small place called Murrurundi,1000 people if you are lucky and it happened at the golf club with maybe 20 people in there and all locals. some one creased a bck panel on my wagon, still don't know who did it!!!

still get the sh!ts thinking about it!!!!!

I'm sure he meant to say " the w@nker who just happens to drive a 4wd" and didn't meant to make it sound like all w@nkers drive 4wds, cause I'm a w@nker and I drive an XR6 :lol:

Could be the same w@nker I saw last week in the carpark at the Canberra Hospital.

Tried to park, crunched the bull bar of his mitsubishi van into the passengers door mirror of an AU with nice big wheels, put into reverse and drove off. :nugget:

I wrote down his rego & time details etc and stuck it under the dudes windscreen wiper.

Why the hell do these people have to live in Canberra?

I am lucky and careful, park next to a wall (reduce chance of encounter with w@anker by 50%) and have had my T 7 months/18,000ks and no dents yet.

That wasn't a generalisation - it was quite a specific description of the particular car/person involved and at no time did it infer or suggest that all people who drive any particular type of vehicle behave this way or anything like what you are peeved about.

DON'T be so touchy (unless you have a bad conscience LOL) and DO get a better grasp of the English language before spruiking off at someone who is fully within his rights to express his feelings as he did.

... and hammer007, sympathies, we've all been through it, and hope you can get it repaired satisfactorilly. My T3 was only two weeks old, parked against the kerb for safety, but a guy in a campervan somehow managed to take the driver's side mirror clean off. He was decent though and left his name and paid the bill ... sometimes you can meet up with a nice type.

Alot of drivers in Canberra are so selfish. Typical scenario. 2 lane road. Form one lane coming up.. Canberra drivers speed up to the form one lane forming a massive traffic wedge. Try changing lanes in Canberra. It's actually gotten better (in my opinion) in the last year or so. The usual lane change would see you with a blinker on, ready to change and car after car just pass you. Nowadays I just push in. In Sydney, drivers seem more curtious (to me atleast).

A few year ago aswell, I was in my car (XF) at some shops waiting for my dad to get back from getting some food. It was valentines day. A 4x4 was in front of me. His b**ch (harsh I know, but I was pissed off), get's into the passnger side and they have a quick smootch. The w@nker put's his 4x4 in reverse and bloody hit the XF in the front spoiler. I quickly jump out to see the damage. The 4x4 tow bar went right through. I knock on his window and he gives me the finger and pisses off. I then waited for my dad and went to the police station with his rego details. Don't know what happened after that.

Another story about the XF. Parked in the parking of the same shops. come back 5 minutes later and bother the driver door and the right back passanger door have massive creases in them, from some 4x4 W@nker . I remember the car that was there but had no memory of any rego.. oh well.. I'm sure people have dozens of these types of stories each.
