Would seem strange that they would use a name already used in the old ED series when it was used on a V8 based car.

Not a bad name even though.

FPRXR-6> Agreed ... Predator was the first forced induction 6 so I reckon they should stick with it - and it sounds damn tough too!!!

Then again "pursuit" was first used back on the XMs and they were a 6 cylinder based car ....

Sprint was used on the American Falcon coupe. It was V8. Pursuit and Super Pursuit were used on the locallly available 170cid and 200cid coupe's.

Quite frankly, if the FPV version of the Turbo six is to have an individual name (as every FPV variant should) then it should reflect something that is relevant to turbo's, racing, geography and performance.

The closest variant that is linked to the FPV Turbo six is the Cosworth RS500 Sierra.

Therefore the FPV Turbo Six should be named something similar to the RS500. This reinforces the Euro/Techno side of FPV, whilst the GT and GTHO (because the GT-P has been canned because it is a brand that cannot usurp the GT brand heritage) remains Oz/Yank V8 Muscle drawing upon decades of muscle car history and achievement.

FPV Turbo six is the RS 500!

Sorry plonky but can't agree with you on that one - it sounds like an Escort or Sierra. And despite you best argument, I don't belive we need to reflect any American or Euro heritage in our Aussie naming heirachy - best stick to the KISS principle and leave it with easy recognizable "local" flavour.
