I'm sure theres alot of tradies on here so I thought I'd ask.

A mate of mine who is/was a chef is fed up with the hours and stress of a kitchen and is looking to get into a trade, be it a sparky, plumber, builder or whatever but he's not sure which one would be best.

Any feedback/advice would be great to pass on, his only concern is he's convinced the pays pretty sh*t but I don't think that's true.

Cheers

First of all re pay, how old is he??

Adult apprentices are paid quite well when compared to 15y/o first years. If he can wangle one of those, he'll also only have to complete 3 years rather than 4...

I'd be looking at eith electrician or plumber as they are high paying, coupled with the fact that we are always going to need a place to :pooh: as well as a light in the toilet when we do it :roflmbo:

Seriously though, sparky or plumber is where it's at as far as trades are concerned imo :spoton:

:roflmbo:

Plumbers are always in big demand, and they can charge a fortune - especially for afterhours/holiday work

Sparky if he has the nouche there's a lot more avenues available to him once qualified than any other trade...IMHO...
