As the title says, I have relocated my battery to the boot and want to run a dry cell in there. So what one should I get and where from...

I don't know about a dry cell but you could try an Odyssey gel cell.

Should be able to pick one up from any reputable battery supplier.

go an optima, good batteries, pay a bit for them however a mate has a fishing boat he fitted two to, many years ago and they turn 300hp outboards over every time and have never needed charging.

Odessey have always been poo.

Bit harsh, considering you can't even spell it right.

Got any reasoning as to why you think this?

I love Optimas, have had them in my last three cars and never missed a beat - copping a decent stereo load.

Heres a pic of my current one installed - fyi they don't fit in the factory battery box either (not the D34)... and one day I'll move the fuse holder to a permanent home.

Random question- because these are sealed batteries, do the need to be mounted in a box in the boot? Or can they just be in a tray or bracket with terminal covers?
