I am about to do some mods, and have got really mixed opinions from mechanics, so if you could give me your ideas on what to do to my xr6t mkii 04 manual, I have a 5k budget and what sort of power roughly would I make, the car is dead stock atm

Need more info on the car mate... BA, BF, MK1 or 2 all are different as to what path to take..

firstly the clutch will need doing that's like $2k already! u can prob get valve springs, injectors, cooler, tune, bash the cat....your laughin 300rwkw.

04 Mk11 would be a BA 5 speed wouldn't it

Nah, Mk2 is T56 dillz

ADEM - 5K can go a long way, but put aside around $2500 for a good Clutch and supply and fit Valve Springs. After that you will need a Flash Tuner, bigger injectors, a Big Cat (4" min.) and then you should look at a better Intercooler. Just make sure you upgrade the brakes somehow - Slotted Discs and some better pads will make a big improvement - there's no point going faster if you can't stop!

BA mk2's had the 6 speed manual.. I had one

Back to your question.. as mentioned earlier, u will need a clutch as the standard one is no good for much more than standard power. Probly goin to need valve springs as well. The 2nd air intake ( typhoon one). Either gut the cat or get a high flow one ( at least 3.5"). Remove the centre muffler as well, this will change the note of the car as well as help with flow. Injectors, flash box and also an intercooler(2nd hand possibly). That would see you around 5K, depending on where u go etc..

In an 04? I thought they started 05, my bad.

My 05 BA MKII is a 5speed..

N/A BA Mk2s are 5spd, Turbos are 6 spd. The BA Mk2 started in October 04
