Yeh I have the same thing (knock) and have read that others also experience this...let us know what they come up with.

Interesting about the air con too.

Edit: Got my son to help me polish the car I told him to get into it and really buff it, he was doing the bonnet and nearly put a dent in it, fork me...its like a Rolf Harris wobble board!

update on my 3000 service

aircon the official report

tested system and found aircond evapourator causing blockage in the system needs a replacement.
