October 26, 200817 yr #2 I'm no expert, but as far as I know you just leave it. Every car has it to some extent, just turbo cars are a little worse.I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will tell me.
October 26, 200817 yr #5 Like Mike XR6T said, if it's bad the only way to get rid of it is to replace your piston rings, but if your going to do that you might as well rebuild the engine.Cheapest way to stop the oil issue is fit a catch can, but you can't 'improve' blow-by.Another side effect of blow by is low power due to the rings not sealing correctly therefore you end up with less compression. This all equates to less power and more oil consumption.
October 27, 200817 yr #7 I bought a cheap black plastic catch can and stuffed some stainless steel scourers inside to catch the oil. $50 for the catch can and $10 for the hose.
October 27, 200817 yr #8 Blow by is the excess oil that blows through your intake due to excessive breathing. Usually caused by poor sealing rings & it gets worse in these cars as you increase boost...Best way to combat it is to fit a catch can as Envy said above. You wont rectify the problem, but you'll stop the oil pooling in your intake which is a good thing
